It’s not just what you eat but how often. Every time you eat something sugary or starchy, your teeth face an “acid attack” from bacteria that can last up to 20–30 minutes — so frequent grazing gives your teeth far less recovery time than eating the same food at mealtimes. Stick to mealtimes where you can, and choose teeth-friendly snacks like cheese, nuts or plain yoghurt in between.
